SPP Installation and Commissioning

The production performance and operating life of a solar power plant are determined largely by installation quality. Every workmanship detail in the field — from structure alignment to module mounting, from DC cabling to inverter connections — directly affects the energy the plant will produce over the years. SPP installation demands disciplined site execution that stays true to the right design.

Miratek delivers the entire installation process turnkey on ground-mounted and rooftop SPP sites, from mechanical installation to grid connection. Site organization, the occupational safety plan, and quality control points are defined at project start; every installation stage is recorded with inspection forms.

Once installation is complete, the plant is connected to the grid following site tests and commissioning procedures. Handover includes test reports, monitoring system setup, and as-built documentation.

How We Work

1

Site survey and execution plan

Ground conditions, access roads, and site logistics are examined to produce the installation plan and work schedule.

2

Preparation of execution designs

The layout plan, string design, and cable routes are turned into an execution design suited to site conditions.

3

Material procurement and logistics

Modules, inverters, mounting structures, and cables are dispatched to site in line with the work schedule, with incoming inspections performed.

4

Mechanical installation

Pile driving and structure installation are completed within alignment tolerances, and modules are mounted according to manufacturer instructions.

5

Electrical installation

DC string cabling, inverter connections, LV and MV distribution, and transformer yard installation are carried out.

6

Testing and commissioning

Insulation, polarity, and string measurements are performed, and the plant is commissioned after completing the grid connection procedures.

Scope of Work

  • Pile driving and mounting structure installation
  • Photovoltaic module installation and string cabling
  • Installation of inverters and DC and AC combiner panels
  • Transformer substation and MV switchyard construction
  • Grounding and lightning protection systems
  • Commissioning of SCADA and production monitoring systems
  • Site tests, commissioning, and as-built documentation

Frequently Asked Questions

What determines the duration of an SPP installation?

Site size, ground conditions, equipment lead times, and grid connection procedures are the main factors. The work schedule we prepare after the site survey pins down the duration of each stage, and progress is tracked with weekly reports.

How does a rooftop SPP installation differ from a ground-mounted one?

Rooftop applications put structural load capacity, protection of the roof membrane, and fire safety first, while ground-mounted applications hinge on soil studies, pile driving, and on-site cable routing. In both cases, the installation method and equipment selection are engineered specifically for the site.

Which tests are performed during commissioning?

String open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current measurements, insulation resistance tests, polarity checks, and inverter functional tests are applied. Tests are reported within the IEC 62446 framework, and production is verified via the plant's monitoring system.
