Frequently Asked Questions

How is the UPS rating determined?

First, the total power and character of the loads to be protected (motor load, electronic load, and so on) are mapped out; then growth margin and the required autonomy time are added. Sizing is based on this analysis — selecting a device on estimated figures produces either inadequate protection or unnecessary investment.

Do a UPS and a generator work together?

Yes — designed correctly, they complement each other. At the moment of an outage the UPS carries the load; once the generator starts and reaches stable operation, the supply is transferred to it. For this handover to be seamless, UPS and generator compatibility is coordinated at the design stage.

How often do UPS batteries need replacing?

Battery life depends on battery type, ambient temperature, and discharge frequency. Battery health is tracked with periodic measurements, and the need for replacement is reported before a failure occurs. Regular maintenance is the most effective way for batteries to reach their expected life.
